Mia is a Ph.D. student in the Voight Lab through Penn’s Pharmacology program. She graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2012 and received an M.S. in Pharmacology from University of California, Irvine in 2019. Before coming to Penn, she worked as a research associate at Piomelli lab in University of California, Irvine. Mia is interested in leveraging GWAS data through statistical approaches to understand how the genetic factors associated with dietary intake behavior influence susceptibility to Type 2 diabetes.
