Voight Lab

Mary Ann is a PhD candidate in the Genomics and Computational Biology (GCB) program at Penn. She graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in the spring of 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. While she was an undergraduate, she also worked in Dr. Nicholas Sokol’s lab for four years where she was trained in a variety of wet lab techniques. Mary Ann joined Penn’s graduate school in the fall of 2020 and has since joined Dr. Ben Voight and Dr. Struan Grant’s labs. Her research focuses on using bioinformatic and functional techniques to understand type 2 diabetes risk at the single cell level.
